EMMA 85th ANNIVERSARY
For Emma Safety Footwear, 2016 was a special year for several reasons. On 19 May we celebrated, with many of you present, the 85th anniversary of our company, with as 'special sustainability guests' astronaut André Kuipers and visionary Thomas Rau.

  
KOEWAIT
We now also supply 'extremely safe' safety shoes and boots to Kuwait Oil Company while the knowledge and craftsmanship of Emma will be used to make safety shoes in the United Arab Emirates.

DESMA

Your trust in our quality products has enabled us to acquire a second Desma. This state-of-the-art machine has been operational since week 45/2016. Our production site in Brunssum, where among other things the Emma shoes are made, is on a path to international success under the name Protag Shoe Supply.

According to the Performance Ladder for Social Entrepreneurship and the Netherlands Organisation for applied scientific research TNO, our company is – also in 2016 – one of the leading companies in the area of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

ORTHOPEDIE
In line with our slogan Safety for Everybody, we have launched a fully ISO certified orthopaedic safety shoe (EN ISO 20345:2011).

WISHING YOU A DURABLE AND HEALTHY 2017

In 2016, Emma saw an increase in its number of employees, and realised a significant revenue growth. With a view to increasing production volumes in the coming years, Emma will be moving to a modern, larger production site in 2017/2018.

Online sales of Emma products have substantially increased this year, in both amount and frequency.

You have helped us realise the facts and developments mentioned above. We thank you for your trust in Emma.
